Andrew Kettel started his coaching career in 1998 as a volunteer assistant coach for the Scranton Prep Cavaliers Freshman team. He rejoined the Cavaliers in 2000 again as a volunteer assistant, this time working with the JV and Varsity. In 2002 Coach Kettel was hired as the head JV coach and guided the Cavaliers for the next four seasons accumulating over 60 wins. Along with coaching at Scranton Prep Coach Kettel has experienced great success on the AAU level, coaching the Hoop City 15 and under National Team in 2005 and 2006.

 Coach Kettel has also had some great experiences working summer basketball camps at  Villanova University and The University of Notre Dame.

On July 9^th 2007 Coach Kettel was hired as the head boy’s basketball coach at Lackawanna Trail High School .

  In his first year at Trail Kettel lead the Lions to the Lackawanna League Division III 2^nd half Championship with a league best 11 wins and 3 loses, and an overall record of 16 wins and 10 loses.
